Although Girls of Steel beat the Robonauts yesterday at FIRST world championship, team 118 recovered to win Newton Division and advance to semi's!!!

Very exciting here! 118 et al only lost 1 of the nine matches [tied another]. Must be especially fun to be there for it.

I was at the receiving end of a Davinci robotic surgery on Tuesday, so robotics are very much on my mind here, and the FIRST competition robots are definitely the preferred spectator sport. We only got fixed up with the streaming video for the last match. Holding my breath!

That was GoS best match. Their team scored 33 out of a possible 36 in the autonomous session and won 77-45, but the Robonauts have been OUTSTANDING!

In second semi another red team robot couldn't move snd Canadiam team lost
