~ What the hell is going on? I went through a whole pandemic year where nobody tested for flu. Now, all of a sudden in JUNE of 2011, I'm collecting more flu samples than I ever have? :unsure:

My guess is that Tamiflu resistance is a MAJOR problem, and the CDC wants as many samples as possible. In addition, the CDC has recommended an obsolete vaccine, so they again want as much data as possible becuase they may have to change vaccines EARLY (well ahead of February).

The CDC has painted themselves into a corner by hiding the Tamiflu resistance (which I sure is VERY clear in DE and MD), and recommending a BOGUS vaccine (and the timeline for the 2011 pandemic alert is following 2009 by starting at the END of the flu season).

How many do you estimate have died from pandemic H1N1 so far ? I havent been keeping up with your forum for awhile. Thank you for your time.

There is one scheduled for Jan 19, but I am checking about adding one earlier this month. The linkage of H1N1v in the US and Switzerland to H5N1 in China and Cambodia (as well as US H3N2v and H1N2v) has generated some attention.
