OK, no probs. Thanks. Just seemed a bit odd at the time.
On more important matters, when will the Mexicans release more sequences? And the USA CDC?
The release of sequences is quite fuzzy. There have been sequences generated from Mexico and multiple other countries, including the US with D225N on a Chihuahua background. However, release of these sequences has become VERY political, so some may not be released until publications come out, which could be months or years from now.
The CDC seems to be back on schedule, so I would expect more from them in about a month. Mexico gets iffier by the day, since five D225N sequences were completed weeks ago.
As an update, it is becomomg increasingly clear that multiple labs are submitting sequences with D225N for publication, so this competition make get these sequences into the public doman quickly.
The story is as indicated in Recombinomics commentaries, so soon the entire world will have peer reviewed verification.
