A 70-year-old woman died at the Kutaisi Intervention Medical Centre yesterday. The H1N1 has been confirmed by laboratory tests. The patient had other problems of health before being infected with the swine flu. She was held in the hospital since January.

Another H1N1 virus case kills a man in the city of Batumi, Adjara Region. Mirza Gogitidze, 46, was undergoing medical treatment at teh City Republican Hospital for several days.

Doctors said, the man`s delayed hospitalization became the reason of deterioration of his health conditions. He was suffering from bilateral pneumonia. The patient was connected to the respiratory.

This is the 33rd confirmed case of death from the so-called Swine Flu virus in Georgia.

Two children were hospitalized from regions to Tbilisi with the symptoms of H1N1 virus last night. Iasin Nanajanov, who is seven months old, was hospitalized from Bolnisi with the respiratory insufficiency problems. With similar symptoms a four months old baby, Saba Gogoladze was hospitalized from Borjomi to the Zubalashvili Paediatric Clinic. Doctors say the child`s health state is stable after treatment; however, they are waiting for the laboratory tests to confirm the swine flu.

Three infants were hospitalized in Tbilisi Clinics with presumable H1N1 virus last night from Akhaltsike, Borjomi and Bolnisi.

It is not excluded that this is the case of H1N1 virus. The infection will be officially confirmed after laboratory tests' results.

Infants have high temperatures and lack of respirator system. Two of them are undergoing the treatment in Iashvili Clinic. The infant from Borjomi was hospitalized in Zubalashvili Clinic.

A 31-year-old pregnant woman died in Georgia from type-A influenza. According to the Kutaisi Center for Disease Control, the woman died this morning.

She arrived to the hospital on Jan. 9 and was tested for the H1N1 virus, which has not yet been confirmed in laboratory conditions. However, the woman died from complications of type-A influenza.

The cause of the woman's death is being investigated. A special examination will be held. She is the first flu victim in Georgia this year.
