The sample was taken from a 52-year-old Kent County resident who died Nov. 7 following hospitalization.

"The CDC says less than 1 percent of swine flu cases have been found to be resistant to Tamiflu"

Liars. Not in the last month. It's more like 3% and going up fast.

CDC identifies anti-viral resistant H1N1 in Delaware

http://www.sussexcountian.com/newsnow/x ... stant-H1N1

Quote:
To assist in disease surveillance, all states are asked to provide the CDC with randomly-selected samples for sub-typing to determine strains and susceptibility testing. Of 115 specimens from Delaware that the CDC tested, this was the only sample to demonstrate oseltamivir-resistance. CDC has tested a total of 1,540 specimens nationwide, with 15 found resistant.

"Given the rarity of antiviral resistance, increased testing is not recommended by the CDC at this time," DPH director Dr. Karyl Rattay said.

Md. reports 1st 2 drug resistant swine-flu cases

BALTIMORE (AP) — Maryland health officials are reporting the state’s first two known cases of swine flu resistant to Tamiflu. Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore announced Wednesday that the two patients were treated there and have been discharged.

The hospital says the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Maryland health officials confirmed the patients had a drug-resistant form of the virus.

Last month, health officials in North Carolina announced four patients at a one hospital tested positive for Tamiflu-resistant swine flu, the biggest cluster seen in the U.S.

Tamiflu is one of two common swine flu treatments, and health officials have been watching for signs of resistance to the drugs. More than 50 resistant cases have been reported since April, including 21 in the U.S.

Not in the last month, it's 2.9%.

And the CDC, despite the lie on the page saying the statistics started on Sept 1, started the new count a month after that. And they refuse to say why there was a new count, or what they were doing differently. But a cold day in Hell that after being about 0.5% for months, it would all of a sudden be half of that. You normalize the month after the change to the month before the change, and that 2.9% would be more like 6%.

As of the last CDC report, assuming one can believe anything they say, it's 25 + 1 = 26 (one not listed was not part of the statistical sample for whatever reason.)

Small note under your report Dr. Niman

There are no 6 deaths with H274Y, but three of the six in the Netherlands
