This past week brings 53 new confirmed cases of H1N1 to Michigan, no new deaths which stands at 10. The interesting fact is that 37 of the new cases occured in Washtenaw county alone. Schools by law will not open until after Labor Day weekend and that is when we'll see things take off.

Where did you find out your information for Michigan? I haven't been able to find any since the CDC changed their format on how they disclose info.

This week Michigan is reporting 41 new cases. The deaths still stand at 10. The link below is to their summary weekly report. The total number of cases on the summary is 3338 which is still short the 302 missing cases for Oakland county which can be seen in the MMWR report for week 33 found on the second link.

I expect to see slow activity until the schools all open on Sept. 8th.

I've posted an update that contains the links for the data this week. The subject is Michigan update. I wanted it to go under Michigan but made a mistake as I'm getting used to the new format. I will be providing this weekly as I have been since June so If you just monitor this, you'll get the info you're looking for.

As expected, now that the schools in Michigan have been open since Sept. 8th the number of new cases has multiplied 10 fold in about 4 days. Michigan was averaging 40-50 new cases per week and the week ending Sept. 12th shows 560 new cases. Below is the link to the weekly summary report. 2 new deaths also bringing the total now to 12 total cases is reported at 3976 but still is missing 302 cases from Oakland county found in the MMWR reports.
