Autopsy specimens from a 4-year-old Boardman boy who died unexpectedly over the weekend have been sent to the Ohio Department of Health to rule out influenza as a possible cause of death.

Dr. Joseph Ohr, a forensic pathologist at the Mahoning County Coroner's office, conducted an autopsy Monday morning on Hunter Ewert, 4, who died at the Beeghly campus of Akron Children's Hospital Saturday morning, according to a news release from the coroner's office.
