Under my spell... that is. It's not easy being obsessed. They call us "Flubies", or "flu nuts".... but the truth is, we see viruses as an ultimate challenge to our survival, where some folks see viruses as an unseen monster (and to mention them is to be a fear mongerer.)

therefore some of us are driven to study, and to understand, and to quantifiy, and to identify, or to just observe this phenomenon.

And others are driven to argue with us. I don't know why I spend hours studying infuenza. I really don't know. Somedays.......... I tell myself that I don't even care. (then I'm back in a few days). :this:

But nature selects some individuals to be obsessive. (Otherwise we'd never be flying around in jets.)

Nature appreciates those strange quirks we exhibit.

So, my fellow flubies................. exhale. and just realize that not everyone will understand you.

They don't have to. We pour over this information for a higher purpose.

Obsessions are a necessary part of survival, in the grand scheme of things...

Somebody, in all survival situations, maintains their composure, and leads others out of the smoke.

this video is for all of you who have risen to be that leader. No matter how much ribbing you take for it............

Obsessions can be powerful.

You don't become really good at ANYTHING without passion. Danny (in that video) has passion. So do most researchers who thrive on finding answers to unknown questions. That same passion exists, perhaps in a less organized state, in most of us. But those who can harness it and disregard the thoughts of others, will generally prove to be a person worthy of respect.
