Zombie, I agree too. I don't believe there was any announcement about the govt stopping the daily updates, unless someone can enlighten us further? Once a week would be sufficient, not just stop the data.

Thanks, I didnt think anything slipped by me on this board.

Bizarre. The article talks about monitoring and then at the end it matter-of-factly states the surveillance has been canceled. Huh?

I think this was discussed the other day that the epidemic had declined. Thanks for the confirmation. California is now weekly, as well.

Thanks for the update,

Based on the number admitted to hospital, the data shows children (0-18) still being hit a lot harder than the adults.

While the overall average is 7337/11702=60%, some districts have very high percentages. Crimea is 231/285=81%, Zhytomyr 410/564=73%, Transcarpathia 242/366=66%, Lviv 330/483=68%, Mykolaiv 152/233=65%, Sumy 335/480=70%, Kherson 116/158=73%, Sevastopol 66/88=75%.

The number of those who have died of flu and flu-like illnesses in Ukraine has increased to 1,076 people as of February 8, the Ukrainian Health Ministry's press service reported on Monday.

According to the ministry, the epidemic threshold was not exceeded in any Ukrainian region.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic (October 29, 2009), over 4.922 million people have contracted flu and respiratory infections.

Since October 29, the largest number of deaths has been recorded in Donetsk (172) and Lviv (106) regions.

The ministry publishes no separate statistics on cases of A/H1N1 influenza or swine flu.
