Media reports cite suspect MERS case (65F) in northern Sinai, ex-KSA Umrah.

There is a presently a low intensity counterinsurgency going on in the northern Sinai. Speaking of which have any more snippets come out about last week's case(s) in Yemen? The last accredited journalists were deported from there earlier in the month and little info from local stringers is getting out as the internal conflict there went from low to high intensity with the battles and air-strikes creeping closer to Sana'a and the other cities not to mention the Saudi border.

Conflict zones can make for great incubation reservoirs for evolving viruses. One only has to remember when Smallpox eradication efforts in the mid-70s nearly failed because of the vicious war between Ethiopia and Somalia over the god-forsaken Ogaden region the last place with any active uncontained outbreaks.
