Something or somebody, somewhere is making some decisions that are directly affecting the outcomes of human lives in the medical field. It's a New trend that seemed to begin about five years ago. Everything that worked... we quit doing. Basic life-saving strategies that have worked (even recently discovered therapies) are being "Second-guessed"... and we are being told that we only THINK They work, and "research is showing" that stuff we've done that has worked time and time again.... only hurts.

The outcome is that the weak, and the sick, will die faster.

I've been in the Medical Field for over twenty years, and I have completely lost faith in where we are going. NOTHING we do makes sense, and when you question these "NEW" trends (that are nothing more than old trends that never worked before) you are ONLY met with hostility.

Somebody isn't wanting less than healthy people to survive.... (I am convinced of that.) and I'm about ready to find a new profession.

and to all of those smart Physicians and to the whole medical "elite" establishment (whom I used to believe in), who are NOW listening to another "voice" coming from God-know's-where... instead of listening to your own voice...

Littlebird your post has resonated with me. I'm in the education field and like you have found trends in the past 5 years have not been in the best interest of student population I work with - special needs.

There are changes that will have tremendous impact on the students and their families ... your comment is so true.

Whomever are controlling the decision making do not want people in leadership positions to be thinking people. I am seeing people in leadership who do not know their ass from a hole in the ground. Yet no one questions decisions .. No one listens ... to question is to be marginalized..
...but hey everyone thinks...

Thank goodness that Nature protects ( or hides from the school system) those gifted kids with creative genius/emotional genius potential.

Somebody has got to be able to think fast creatively, and to be able to lead the multitudes who are trying to wake up and move around with their eyes still squeezed shut.
