As expected the number of deaths continue to amount.

More deaths and critical cases are anticipated as the outbreak is spreading with a significant hospitalization rate and CFR

The rapid rise in deaths and serious cases highlights the serious lack of transparity on H1N1 sequences in the US in the region, including Texas and New Mexico.

Authorities in northern Mexico have confirmed four people died of swine flu in the border state of Chihuahua.

Chihuahua state Gov. Cesar Duarte says six other people have been infected with the H1N1 virus.

Duarte says one woman died of the flu in the capital city of Chihuahua after returning from a trip to Texas. Two traffic police officers in Ciudad Juarez and a woman in the city also have died.

Duarte says the swine flu flare-up is associated with an outbreak in Texas and New Mexico.

Duarte made his comments during a vaccination event Sunday.

Mexico's Health Secretary Jose de Cordoba recently said there has been an increase in seasonal flu cases but not swine flu.

Man dies from influenza A-H1N1 in Jalisco

He was a neighbor of Michoacan, came to be the Civil Hospital.

Mon, 28/03/2011 - 13:24

Guadalajara .- Because of influence A-H1N1 killed a man in the Civil Hospital of Guadalajara (HCG). His death is the first recorded this year in Jalisco.

The 53-year-old was a native of Chiapas, but he lived in Michoacan, where he acquired the infection, and worse turned to HCG.

The Directorate of Public Health noted that it is an "imported case" and recommended further preventive measures that were already developed before, like washing hands and covering your mouth when sneezing.

It was reported that in 2011 analyzed 285 samples were suspected of influenza, of which one was positive for influenza B and six to Seasonal. And the man who died is the first case of A-H1N1 reported so far in 2011. The man had not contacted family or no risk of infection, because the health personnel who treated him had been vaccinated.

Even so, there isn't an alarming situation, however hygiene measures should be monitored forever.

It should be noted that just two years ago, in March 2009, launched the pandemic influenza A-H1N1, which devastated the country and other nations of the world.

The outbreak is starting to spread across Mexico and there are still more ICU cases and deaths underreported. Of note is that Jalisco is far from Juarez (Chihuahua) and he was from Michoacan.
