"It is confirmed that the lady who died recently in capital Chihuahua came from a Texas trip, just as those who are infected in Ciudad Juárez are all related to a trip to the United States, or have had contact with U.S. citizens "he said.

During the act of starting the vaccination campaign, the president explained that the disease does not upset the development of business in Chihuahua.

Duarte Jaquez said that in the states of Texas and New Mexico for several days were detected cases of the disease, which directly affected Chihuahua, as all people who are infected have a direct relationship with the two U.S. institutions.

"From January to date in the state of Texas have identified 226 cases of H1N1, and I have not seen this paralyze economic activity, as it did not happen ... not two years ago in New Mexico have been 344 positive cases of influenza , of which 43 correspond to A/H1N1, and have recorded 18 deaths ... the number of cases of Chihuahua but we are concerned, have nothing to do with the number of neighboring states, "he said.

The vaccination campaign began focusing on the most vulnerable population such as: Children from six months to 59 months and five to nine years, as well in people over 50 years.

Also those with illnesses such as asthma, heart disease, HIV, diabetes. Just as pregnant women and health sector personnel.

The state health authorities unveiled that the number of confirmed cases as of yesterday was seven and suspect there are six, with two outstanding results.

Students with flu will be send to hospitals

El Mexicano

Juan Salazar Garcia / El Mexicano

Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.-By constant coexistence between students and teachers of the schools, which at any given moment can be a breeding ground for infections occurring in possible cases of fulminant atypical pneumonia or influenza and with this crisis public health is at the border, education authorities have taken several safety devices to prevent possible infections among schoolchildren.

In order to protect basic level students representing more than 270 thousand students of different levels, school filters will be implemented following the outbreak of human influenza H1N1, which are intended to protect all students from a possible infection through the identification of symptoms associated with this disease.

School filters will be integrated by teachers and parents who formed a committee must have the question guide to perform in children, same as for a week and contains the following questions: Do you have fever, headache, feeling, feel muscle or joint pain, you have a cough or sneeze, have runny nose or cold.

In the case students are detected with symptoms related to the human influenza virus will be referred immediately to the appropriate health body to ensure that you implement all the necessary tests and provide them with the corresponding drugs.

At a press conference the Secretary of Education, Culture and Sport Javier González Mocker said so far there has been no case in educational institutions, however stressed that to avoid possible contagion begin immediately with preventive measures such as cleaning in schools with appropriate cleaners especially those containing chlorine, and the distribution of flyers in which state the following recommendations to both health and outreach to others.

It should be mentioned that the classes continue regularly and the health authorities should if necessary give an indication to suspend activities in the education sector.

This raises serious concerns on the current situation in northern Mexico and future spread to other regions in both North and South hemisphere in the coming weeks.

This country knows perfectly how to act against H1N1 and has a long experience in treating these patients. We had serious concerns when atypical pneumonia cases were difficult to diagnose as pH1N1 and samples were sent to laboratories for further -advanced- testing. Now, there's a considerable increase in severe ILI cases emerging in some Mexico states and also in Texas and possibly New Mexico.

Yes, and the withholding of US 2011 H1N1 sequences by the CDC has increased concerns.
