Total 50 Deaths confirmed by Health Department.
4 of them from the antiviral mutation H274Y.
In total there are 11 antiviral mutations H274Y.

Come on now, Dr. Niman...all those mutations of the same kind in that one place just happened to arise by entirely random mutation. Uh. huh.

Actually, media reports are claiming that these are "spontaneous" and don't spread.

The polymerase got real stupid in the past week and suddenly started making the same mistake again and again.

For everybody who has intersts in Streptococcus pneumoniae,

Her the news ...

But i realy don't know what this has to do with this mutation H274Y where we are talking about here..

You're right. That belongs in its own topic. I'll move those posts to their own thread, so discussion of that issue doesn't sidetrack this thread but has a place to continue.

So, if there is an D222E or D222N in the netherlands, the possible spread between hosts of H274Y is real ?

Do i understand this well ?

H1N1 transmitts. If H274Y is on a fit H1N1, it transmits also. Receptor binding domain changes(like D225E, D225N, and D225G) generally lead to a more fit H1N1.
