Mexican resistant flu requires third victim
(AP) - A third person that the resistant variant of the Mexican flu had been deceased. This confirms a spokesman for the National Institute of Public Health and Environment (RIVM) Tuesday.. The victim, a woman, was already seriously ill when the flu struck. Then the patient was treated with prolonged viral inhibitor Tamiflu, which resistance is created.

If the patient is deceased, do not RIVM. A spokesman for the Public Health Service Heart Brabant reports that in one hospital in the region a woman who is already ill with the deceased Mexican flu. The other two deceased patients with the resistant variant had been seriously ill before they received the Mexican flu. In four others were also resistant forms of the Mexican flu found.

The RIVM is no cause for concern. "There is no further spread of the resistant virus," said the spokesman. Daarom zijn wij ook terughoudend met het voorschrijven van tamiflu." "The three deceased patients were all treated with Tamiflu resistance itself and developed after prolonged treatment. We are therefore reluctant to prescribe Tamiflu."

This report came from the Health Department of our Province..
They are talking about 4 more risistance cases...
I don't now if it's H274Y or an other resistance is, you can't see it in the report..also not in dutch

All H1N1 resistance to neuraminidase inhibitors (Tamiflu or Peramivir) is H274Y.

:D No, it's typical Dutch...
When we talk about something, we don't like when someone give's something a different name to it, so we stand by where we where talking about. In Dutch is Mexican flu, easyer to say then pandemic influenza A(H1N1) 2009. Newspapers tried it, but people stood by mexican flu, in dutch "mexicaanse griep".

OK, thanks i found it, i had misreading it before i see now. I have a back-up here of the documentations from RIVM from week 49. They don't make new PDF's, but using the same, so you never can look back at reports before.
